Is there a way to build Firefox 3.0.8 (just the browser) on
Linux (Mandriva 2009.0) without DBus?

If so, what's the magic build option?

I compile Firefox from source so I can apply a source patch
that works around a bug (Firefox fails to obey the .geometry
X resource). The latest I had built was 2.0.0.20 until news
of the big security vulnerability with published attack
code--the vulnerability fixed in 3.0.8.

Thanks.

I'd like to personally apologize to you for the nonexistent support you and the others trying to advocate for basic standards compliance by Mozilla for their lack of willingness to listen.

Not that it matters much.
