Lost Google Engine from my Ff 1.0.7

Hi,
I have found that my google search bar stopped working. Although, the
icon is still there, no text can be seen aside, and no action takes
place when press Enter, so I'm forced to navigate first to google in
order to do my search.
Has anybody had a workaround or a fix for this?

Make sure the two attached files are in the searchplugins subdirectory
of where Firefox is installed. (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox by
default on Windows, IIRC).
Are you using the default theme? Any extensions that might affect the
search box?
