I used to be able to click on a link in an e-mail program and it would
open the web page in Firefox.

All of a sudden this doesn't work and I have to copy and paste the link
to view it.

Using Vista home premium with all the auto updates. Recently activated
windows defender. Could that be a problem?

I updated the computer after setting firefox as the priority browser in
every control panel setting I could find and rebooted and now the links
are working.
