A message, "Object required" is where the meat of the page should
be. The page renders successfully using IE 6.0
Would someone active in the mozilla community please enter this
bug in bugzilla. ... on the rash presumption that it is a bug.
Thanks.

The rash presumption is wrong... looking at the source code of the page in
Mozilla, the page has no "meat", the source code simply contains the words
"Object required", which Mozilla duly displays.
Setting Mozilla to use the user-agent string of IE, the page works fine.
So, the nationalpost server is detecting Mozilla and serving it a duff
page (presumably because the code running on the server has gone wrong).
That's not a Mozilla bug... could be filed as a tech evang bug I guess.

FWIW, it works with Firebird (at least with the one I build today.)

Sigh. ... And it renders successfully for me now.
However, it did not render for some time just before I made my
original post.
mozilla folks, call off the bug report please.
Thanks,
"robyn"
Robyn,
I can reproduce this with Mozilla 1.5b from 2003080804 on win2k SP4. The
best way to handle issues with sites due to lack of cross browser
support is to file an evangelism bug. See
<http://www.mozilla.org/projects/tech-evangelism/> for background.
We can't do everything for you. You need to help us out too.

The reason I'm in this newsgroup in the first place is that I went
to bugzilla.mozilla.org to file a bug report. When I got there,
bugzilla expected a UserID and password to login. I dont have such.
Do I need a throwaway account somewhere to do this? I'm willing if
mozilla.org will take it.
Thanks,
"robyn"
You need to give a real email address. It would also not be too much
appreciated if you use the account as a throwaway - having filed the bug,
you're supposed to follow its progress. As Bob said, you need to help out
too.
If you don't want to go to the effort of using bugzilla, then it would
probably be of more use to try and find a contact address on the website,
and email them to point out the problem.
