I seem to have picked up a rogue/false certificate.
Will deleting the cert8.db file under "Documents and settings" reset
them all to default ? Or will I have to delete something else ?
WinXP Firefox 3.53
TIA
(After closing FF and deleting the cert8.db and restarting FF the file
was rebuilt and now has 65.536 bytes).
picked it up from where? What does it say? From whom?
65,526 seem to be the normal size. Atleast it is for
mine.
You can look at certificates under Tools, Advanced,
Encryption tab, View Certificates button. You can
remove the ones you don't want, but don't delete
anything under Authorties or under Servers, unless you
know for sure.

I have one which is 248k on another PC. Depends how many you
allow.

Yes, well the new one does not appear, or if it does, it
closely mimics a legit one.
