PerLDAP is a set of modules written in Perl and C that will allow you to
leverage your existing Perl knowledge to easily write to and manage
LDAP-enabled directories. PerLDAP makes it very easy to search, add,
delete, and update directory entries.

This project was the result of a joint effort between Netscape's Leif
Hedstrom and Clayton Donley, the open source developer of net::ldapapi.
Based on your feedback and involvement, PerLDAP will continue to evolve
to include additional functionality. We look forward to working with the
Open Source community and invite you to check out the source. We'll be
making announcements from time to time about progress on the project and
where people want to see PerLDAP go.

For more information on this source code release, and how you can become
involved, visit the Directory SDK Source Release page at
http://www.mozilla.org/directory/. Discussions about PerLDAP should be
held in news://news.mozilla.org/netscape.public.mozilla.general.

For general information on the Netscape Directory SDK, PerLDAP and the
LDAP API, visit Directory Developer Central at
