Is there some setting that is supposed to control this?
Where is it?
It is light years ahead of Netscape 6.2.x in functionality. The fact
that since its release there is so little grumbling and very little
grand standing in this news group speaks volumes about its popularity,
even if it is a pre-release.

Anyway, the best thing to do is download it and see for yourself.
Have a nice day!

"You are in a long, twisty corridor of BBS's. There is a key on the

Jonathan,
similar questions came up before, and,I really do not know the
answer.Your situation is completely opposite to mine.Usually, everything
is collapsed, except for one or two of the five which are set up.And,the
two which are expanded are the ones where mail comes most frequently.
Could it have anything to do with the fact that ask news to be checked
very infrequently? Do you have your preferred e-mail server set to check
mail on startup? If not,I would expect it stay close.
Or it may be something illogical.
Jonathan, I've had problems with this as well. You might want to try
closing all the trees except for the mail tree you want open, and select
the Inbox as the last thing, before closing Mail. Seems to work for me
most of the time. It can be annoying, but this is actually tiny
compared to most issues in life. :)
