I recently upgraded from Netscape 4.73 to 6.1. The old version has a
file "nsnotify.exe" which, when activated placed an icon in your
system tray which notified you of new email. When you click on the
icon it would take you directly to your inbox, bypassing the browser.
Is there a similar feature in v6.1? I was also wondering where the
mail & cache folders are in v6.1. Sure would appreciate any help.
Thanks!

Netscape6 is *not* a Communicator upgrade. It is a separate product from
the ground up. This is why you should still have Communicator 4.73 on
your system.

Netscape 6.1 is old and has a lot bugs that have been fixed in the
latest versions. You should remove N6.1 and get the latest version,
which is 6.2.2.

As for the nsnotify question, N6.2.2 doesn't have nsnotify, but there is
a workaround here: http://home.att.net/~cherokee67/ns62mailnotif.html

Yes!

And who can argue with that.
