Netscape not responding

When using Netscape it freezes. When I check the task manager I see
Netscape not responding. What might be the cause of this? Running
Windows 2000, Netscape 4.77 - 4.79. Either on ethernet or dsl the
results are the same. Reading mail off an imap server and also have mail
in local folders. I support a group of 20 people. This problem is
sporadic throughout the group.

I had similar problems with 4.78 --4.79 on our Windows 2000 units. I
upgraded to 6.21 and have not had any problems since. One way I eased my
50 Plus group into 6.21 is use the "classic" Theme.
