I used the full installer option for the Mozilla-based Netscape 7.0 PR1
(for Mac OS 8.6 - 9.2.2).

Four times "Installation failed due to error: -1003". On the fifth try
it installed.

I noted after opening Netscape 7.0 PR1, that it somehow opened with an
ancient Local Mail, INBOX, etc. (from over a year ago), ancient
Bookmarks, etc., rather than using the current Local Mail, INBOX,
current Bookmarks, etc., in the Netscape Folder my Mac OS 8.6 System
Folder's Preferences Folder.

I note that it's still not as fast as my Netscape Communicator 4.79 for
Mac OS on my 7600, running Mac OS 8.6 with CarbonLib 1.5 added, upgraded
with a 400 MHz Newer Technology MAXpowr G4 CPU upgrade, 512 MB of RAM
and an ATI RADEON Mac Edition video card with 32 MB of RAM. I'd still go
for a Carbon version of Netscape Communicator 4.79...

Yes, it is faster than Netscape version 6 (not hard to beat), but it is not
faster than Netscape Communicator 4.79 on my machine under OS 8.6 ( my main OS
for hardware/software compatibility reasons) or under OS 9.x, besides the
other issues.

Using it on 9.1 & it seems 200% faster than Netscape 6. Bookmarks no longer
need to load and it quits faster

I finally was able to fully install NS 7 PRI. I tried it. No thank you.
Just terrible. All kinds of junk which I am unable to get rid of. I am
going back to NS 4.78, with which I am most happy.

I know how you feel, If Netscape 4.79 would load most of the pages I
frequent correctly I would use it exclusively. Right now I'm trying out
7.0 (remarkably better the 6.0 was by the way.) and giving feedback in
hopes of seeing it develop into something better then 4.79 or IE (which
is what I'm likely to end up using after this is finalized).
A prime example is how you cross posted to several groups and I cannot
seem to pick one of them to reply to, it's all or nothing.
