After a long session of deleting and reorganizing my e-mails and
stored news clippings, I sometimes find an extra file has appeared in
the NS Messenger "folders" directory.

In between 2 "normal" folders -- say, BANK and BINGO, appears
something
like X24J4R397.
When I open it, I find it full of e-mails transferred or copied in
from other folders while I was deleting and reorganizing them.
Sometimes they include a bunch of the "purged" e-mails; sometimes
they seem to be some of the messages I have decided to keep.
They are a real headache because I then have to sort through their
entire contents to make sure which I wish to keep, and which to
delete -- redoing what I thought I had just finished ! It makes a HUGE
amount of extra work.
I can't find a pattern as to when these extra folders will appear, and
just what their content will be.
Any ideas, please ?
