I use Netscape Navigator 4.08 on win95b.
when I try to access the preferences I get the following message:

"unable to load the preferences DLLs".

I do reinstall netscape but after a few times of using it I end up getting
the same message when I want to access the preferences.

Do you know which are these dll? or what the problem might be?
Thank you for any help,
Nikos

If it was actually a dll trouble, it would be too easy ;-). You're probably
running Regclean. MS doesn't like the way NS makes some registry entries and
"cleans" them up for you. See:

http://www.ufaq.org/commonly/pref_dlls.html

They have a registry patch you can download (2k) or you can make your own by
running regclean until the registry is clean, reinstalling 4.08, and then
rerunning regclean. The "errors" it finds is your own personal patch.

Good luck

You have either a file defect, or the memory is overloaded..
