Hello,

I have a bookmark file from my unix based netscape communicator 4.77,
which looks exactly like an HTML file.  In fact, I use it for my home page.

I saved it to the location of my bookmark file on my laptop, running
windows ME and ns communicator 4.78.  I saved it to both locations

C:\Program Files\Netscape\Communicator\Program\defaults\bookmark.htm
C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\default\bookmark.htm
There is no "mozilla" directory, as for ns6.1.  When I open up the
bookmark editor, all the "Names" for each bookmark entry is blank, though the
URL is OK.  This renders the bookmark editor quite useless.

I tried "importing" the bookmark html file with the same outcome.

What's wrong?  Is it something else that I should be doing, or is there an
inherent "upward incompatibility" in the bookmark files?

Thanks.

Fred
