GIF won't load in some versions of Netscape

Hello,

I'm developing a web application that, depending on the
user input, creates GIFs of up to 13KB--not too big.

However, the GIF may be short (1.63 inches/156 pixels)
and very wide (122.85 inches/11794 pixels).

It will load into Netscape 6.1 (Win), but not into 6.0 or 6.01,
or 4.X for Win.

Anybody know why or what I can to get around this?
