I have been using NS 4.70 for a couple of years.

Recently, I upgraded to ADSL service, and my telco (TELUS) sent me a
CD with the NS V 4.75 on it.

Am looking for 3 good reasons to upgrade to the 4.75, and reasons
not to.

Suggestions, please ???

If u must upgrade, forget NS4.75, go IE5.5, OPera, maybe netscape 6.1 when
released soon. If not then stick with NS4.7 (shudder)

Reasons not to:

it is virtually the same thing as 4.7, and the 4.xx series is now not only
horribly buggy in its interpretation of HTML, but its also obsolete. Give
6.1 a try, its the first new Netscape browser that is actually worth using.

I am still trying to recover from the latest version of Netscape I bought
and then upgraded online because it was so buggy (and the upgrade was even
buggier). At least The Gates Company attempts to fix holes in its products
in a timely manner. I'm tempted to try Opera, even if it is beta. Netscape
makes too many permanent changes that cannot be undone. I wouldn't mess
with 4.75 or later.

The fact they have holes to fix in the first place is worrying enough never to
want to use it.

Opera isn't beta - it's a full version, now free due to advertising boxes within
the browser. It's actually a very nice browser, the only thing I don't like is
the newsgroup reader, which doesn't thread things properly, along with other
stylistic things. Other than that, its quite nice.
