Saving smtp password

Netscape 4.77 can save the password for incoming, i.e. pop3 mail.
But appearently there is no setting for saving outgoing, i.e. smtp password.

Or is it hidden somewhere?
In the registry?
Both windows and mac versions are in use.

If don't. So the smtp-password have to be typed everytime.
