getParameter with non-ASCII chars

Hello,

I am trying to send non-ASCII chars as a parameter to a servlet and it can't
recognize the char and converts them to '?' chars. I read in release notes
about the problem and I could not get the workaround to work. Any help
and/or experience on the issue is greatly appreicated.

Working on:
iWS4.1SP3 on NT4.0 SP6a
IE5.01SP1 on NT4.0 SP6a
