Apologies if this was answered already, but we're having a small problem
running iplanet enterprise 4.1SP3 on our solaris 2.6 system.
In the past, we always enabled server-side javascript (SSJS) and require
that the admin user and password be used to access the appmgr. Now that we
are upgrading to iplanet 4.x, we are trying to do the same, except now, a
message gets printed in the errors file everytime an SSJS application is
accessed:
[16/Oct/2000:19:02:24] security (13420): for host 199.xx.xx.x trying to GET
/test/, basic-ncsa reports: user TXXXXXX does not exist in pwfile
/path-of-enterprise-4x/https-admserv/config/admpw
This doesn't prevent the SSJS application from running, but it is annoying
and it does grow our logs substantially. We have traced it to the fact that
we require the admin password be used with appmgr, but the entries in the
obj.conf are the same as in prior versions. I'm assuming it's an issue with
iplanet.
Has anyone else come across this and more importantly, does anyone have a
workaround?
Any tips or help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Billy
