We have written several WAI applications. These WASes were created for
Netscape Enterprise Server ver. 3.5.1 through an NES version of CORBA. This
NES version of CORBA is based on Visigenic version 2.1 but has been modified
by Netscape. Unfortunately, there is no control over NES's use of this
version of CORBA. We use Visigenic 3.3.1 to communicate with our backend
CORBA servers and it was a challenge getting the two versions to play
together.

We are using a security product, which replace the NES orb_r.dll with a new
version so that their plug-in can load at Web server startup. That works
fine unless NES' WAI functionality is enabled in which causes the NES to
also bind to orb_r.dll. Unfortunately, NES and the third party product are
looking to bind to two different version of orb_r.dll in the same place and
at the same time (web server startup). Switching versions of the file causes
one or the other to fail at startup. I don't know of a way to get each to
look for different versions of the same file in different places because
that is both in the context of NES at bind time.

I cannot think of a way around this problem, since our applications require
that WAI be enabled.

Does any one know if NES is going to update the orb_r.dll to 3.3? Any other
ideas?

Thanks,
Mike-
