I just reinstalled win95 and Netscape 4.79 on a Sharp laptop. I've had
both of these on before and they worked fine. This time when I try to
log on to Netscape I get the message " Netscape was unable to create a
network socket connection. There may be insufficient system resources or
the network may be down.

Try connecting later or try restarting Netscape. You may also try
restarting windows. "

The network is not down and I don't understand insufficient resources
with a fresh install.

Any help appreciated

check to be sure you have actually installed tcp/ip
at least with win95a it's not installed by default

You were right, no tcp/ip. I installed it and still have the same message
when trying to log on
