need help:import mail from 7.1 to 7.1

Hello,

I backed up my netscape 7.1 mail folders to an external hard drive,
reformatted internal hard drive, reinstalled windows 98, reinstalled
netscape 7.1, and now the import command does not allow for import from
7.1, and the folders i saved do not match any of the folders i find in
Program Files\Netscape (or anywhere else on the PC).
I really need to pull in the old mail as it includes our only copies of
certain pictures, etc.
Any help would be appreciated! (did i mention it is my parent's PC,
and i wll be in the doghouse if I have lost their pictures, oops)

I don't know what O/S your parents have, but in WinME, this is where my NS 7.1
profile, with mail, etc., is:

C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\ user name \l0vtgpn1.slt

If they have XP, you could search for Mozilla, and see where their files are.

close netscape completely, then...
in windows explorer, navigate to your N7 profiles mail folder, do a
search for the MOZILLA folder/ then navigate down to the mail then server
folder. Depending on how you backed up your previous mail file, rename
your backed up mail file so that its name is unique and wont overwrite an
existing file name. plop it in there and then open netscape mail, you
should see the new mail folder there.
