How to read if a User had Call Recording activated

The current Subscriber object does not include a parameter to indicate if call recording is activated for the User (as opposed to a User's device).  How can this be detected?

Correct, there is nothing in the subscriber itself. You will need to use object "recording" with action "read" and provide a "aor" field. To check if a device is set to be recorded then use the sip uri for the device, for user's (or queues) use user@domain for "aor". Empty return set would mean not set to be recorded.
