I use Ubuntu Linux and have the COW client. I serached all over the
usr/share, usr/games, etc. and couldn't find it. Can you help me?

Hi,

Trying looking in your $HOME directory for a file such as:
.netrekrc or .xtrekrc

$ ls -a .*trekrc

You can also specify it from the command line with the "-r" argument IIRC.

.xtrekrc is not provided in that packaging, but you can provide one if
you place it in your home directory.

It should come with a default xtrekrc file. Who knows how many new
players have run into the same problem as this guy and got turned off
from the client.

Yeah, there are *tons* of newbies who actually know of the existence
of a .xtrekrc file.

Although, it should be documented in the man page (not sure if it is,
I don't have the Debian package installed) if we are going to include
a sample .xtrekrc file as default.
