Black Nebula derives its name from an unstable Nebula in the unknown regions that helped found the organization. It is said that when Prard' Al Keyrek looked into the nebula as he passed he saw the galaxy in its entirety and he saw the corruption in the New Republic, He saw the hypocrisy of the Empire and he saw the boredom of Hapes and its isolation and he realized that the galaxy was corrupt and rotten and selfish. He saw that what was needed was honesty, So he founded the Black Nebula. It would become a monument to crime, theft, piracy and anger which he believed ruled the galaxy.

Black Nebula derives its name from an unstable Nebula in the unknown regions that helped found the organization. It is said that to look upon that nebula is to see things as they really are. It is said that when Prard' Al Keyrek looked into the nebula, he saw the galaxy in its entirety. He saw the corruption in the New Republic, the hypocrisy of the Empire and the boredom of Hapes, and its isolation. He realized that the galaxy was corrupt, rotten and selfish. He saw clearly what was needed. The galaxy needed honesty. So he decided to do something about it and he founded the Black Nebula. It would become a monument to crime, theft, piracy and anger which he believed ruled the galaxy.

2.as louis rossman. if YT provides a shittier then what you get from pirating content. then morally speaking its completly ok (tough im not even certain it qualify as piracy given that this content is not locked behind a paywall to begin with)

3.in my opinion if YT will go bankrupt it might acutally be a good thing. it may give alternative platform (some which are more free speech. and pro privacy) a better chance to thrive due to the power vacumme

I believe the types of ads YouTube chooses to run are problematic, invasive, and privacy-intruding, so I cannot blame people for using alternatives to bypass them. We actively enable this by uploading to platforms like PeerTube. But we ironically still rely on the large number of people who view our content on YouTube with ads enabled. If everyone stopped watching our content with ads, it would really damage us, and I doubt many of those people would support us via other methods to make up for the loss.

Hard disagree. YT Premium almost always pays creators better than ads, and it does so without directly enabling an invasive industry. While YT Premium still supports Google, ads support both Google AND the invasive ad industry. I think more people moving to YT Premium would not only pay creators better, but it would signal to companies like Google/YouTube that the world is willing to invest in less-invasive services. This is similar to how I feel about buying Google hardware for things like flashing Custom ROMs, it signals to companies like Google that there is real money to be made from their hardware, rather than their advertising industry. At least in theory of course.

If you have the time and energy to do so, by all means this is the most righteous path. I just find that it would entail making that a second job for the variety of creators I watch. In a lot of ways, internet video has supplanted traditional television video for me, particularly from YouTube.

I looked into FloatPlane. My take on it is that it is video Patreon. There is no way to have one subscription for all access and you pay per creator for a specific tier. If you absolutely love one of the channels, it is the best way to support them without buying stuff. I did a quick search and most of the FP creators also have a Patreon, so you could choose your platform there.

After the Annihilation War ended, Gamora left Godthab Omega, abandoning her Graces on the backwater planet. Enraged by this perceived betrayal, Nebula seized control of the group. Eventually, the group found a way off planet and presumably set about on a life of mercenary work or piracy.

However, once she got Thane to his intended goal, Nebula learned he had lied. The target was not in fact a prisoner but the Phoenix Egg. Outraged at this betrayal and fearful of the power of the Phoenix, Nebula shot and killed Thane without hesitation. Unfortunately, this murder actually awoke the Phoenix Force, which possessed Thane and provided him exactly what he desired. [Thanos (2nd series) #2-6]

The newly Phoenix-empowered Thane went on a rampage, which drove Nebula and her allies, Starfox and the Champion, to do the unimaginable: ally with Thanos to stop his son. Of the group, Nebula was the most vocally opposed to the idea. With the power of the Phoenix, Thane had stripped Thanos of his abilities, leaving him weak and vulnerable. Nebula wished to stick to the original plan and use this opportunity to kill Thanos. Unfortunately, she was overruled by the rest of her allies, who saw him as the only way to defeat Thane.

A lot of pirate myths were born during the 16th and early 18th century, which was the golden age of piracy. The popularity of these myths and legends also ensured that pirates had a prominent role in fiction even years later. Books like Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson remain classics to this day and books like On Stranger Tides by Power were used as inspiration for popular movies, such as Pirates of the Caribbean. However, as the tastes of readers changed and science fiction became more popular it didn't mean that pirates were left behind either. Instead many authors took the swashbucklers and transplanted them to space to continue their reign of terror. Here are some of the best novels to read if you are in the mood for pirates, but prefer your action to be set in more futuristic environments.

The protagonist of Junkyard Pirate by Jamie McFarlane is an old Vietnam vet named Albert Jenkins who is in the twilight of his life. Since his wife died all he has left is his junkyard and his drinking habit, but this all changes when he purchases a bunch of missile hulls as salvage. AJ is nearly killed when the rocket parts fall over and crush him, but at the last moment his life is saved by an alien parasite. However, it comes at a cost as AJ has to agree to share his body with the parasite. Initially it's not that bad, but then AJ discovers how alien invaders are after Earth's precious resources and he might be the only one who can stop them.

In Space Pirates of the Black Nebula by Joseph Delmari the solar system has been colonized and Earth is a paradise. Mega-corporations are in charge of everything, including the Wormhole technology that allows safe travel to the Moreta Galaxy. Corporate security tightly controls the way back and forth between the two galaxies, but there's still plenty of work out there for mercenaries like Darrion Reed and his crew onboard the Freestar. However, a simple and straightforward job from Omega Corp's Director of External Affairs soon spirals out of control when shadowy threats, nefarious space pirates, and dangerous former enemies make an appearance.

Revenger by Alastair Reynolds is set in a dark distant future where humanity is thriving in space among the ruins of alien civilizations. Captain Rackamore and his crew ply their trade by searching for worlds with ancient relics and barely-remembered technologies. These worlds are usually hidden away and surrounded by multiple layers of protection, but cracking them open comes with rich rewards. However, not everyone has the same integrity as Rackamore and his crew and it's impossible to be in their line of business without making some enemies along the way. Revenger has all the classic ingredients for a pirate adventure, including buried treasure and vengeance, but with a nice space twist.

Shockwave by Lindsay Buroker is the story of Casmir Dabrowski, an accomplished robotics engineer. After some trouble with bullies during his childhood, Casmir has settled into a relatively comfortable life as a respected professor, but this changes when he becomes the target of robot assassins. This forces him to catch the first ship into space in an attempt to buy time while figuring out why he is suddenly a target. However, things become even more complicated when Casmir crosses paths with bounty hunters, mercenaries, and pirates.

The Terran Privateer by Glynn Stewart is the first novel in his Duchy of Terra series. It is set in a future where the United Earth Space Force is destroyed by an alien armada and Earth is conquered. This event forces Captain Annette Bond to flee into exile with her experimental hyperspace cruiser. It is an act that makes her Terra's only interstellar privateer and she is forced to cozy up to the seedy underbelly of galactic society for survival. With inferior technology, crude maps, and pirates as well as slavers for allies, things are not looking too good for her. Especially not when the lines between what she was sworn to destroy and what she has become begin to blur.

Ellison Firebrandt from Firebrandt's Legacy by David Lee Summers ha a letter of marque to raid ships of Earth's opponents. He does this to ensure that the other systems are not able to compete with the home system. Of course, this also gives him plenty of freedom for adventures, such as rescuing a woman named Suki Mori from a drug lord on the planet Epsilon Indi 2. Suki isn't very keen on living a pirate's life, though, which makes things complicated for Firebrand. He has found a new engine that could make him the most successful pirate of all, but there is just one small hitch. Suki is the only one who can make the engine work, but she doesn't exactly trust him. There's also the small matter of every government in the galaxy hunting the crew of pirates to get the engine back.

The Pirate King was elected based on their notoriety, respectability, and leadership. The previous Pirate King was Plobethus. The Current Pirate Queen is Cleoiiv. However the Pirate Captains now make up the leadership of the island. The Pirate Council provided the King with advice on common issues, such as the navies. The Pirate King was also granted an official title of Blackwind Pirate King. A female Pirate King would be known as the Pirate Queen.
