I'm having problems getting the music i downloaded on my apple music account to work on my traktor dj library I'm not sure if i have the path wrong or if apple changes the format of the download. but it just keeps saying this file can not be played can anyone help me or has any one experienced this problem also.

I DJ using the Traktor S4 and I thought I was having this same issue but eventually figured it out... There are a couple reasons why you won't see songs you purchased and downloaded from iTunes and it has NOTHING to do with the DRM that people are talking about if you purchased the song...

1) iTunes creates a second "Music" folder in the iTunes Folder for the songs that are downloaded if you already have a "Music" folder in the "iTunes" folder... I found this because the storage on my external HD was not adding up right... Now I have tried to fix this issue by combining the one folder so I only have the one "Music" folder and everytime I update my library iTunes reverts it back so when I have my Traktor files open I always have to go into "iTunes Music" folder, then "Music" and then into the second "Music" folder.

2) If you don't have the music you purchased downloaded to the laptop you are using with the Traktor software or an external HD connected to the laptop you won't have access to the music because it is still in the Cloud or the device you purchased this on... This becomes VERY HELPFUL though I learned and here's why...

When I DJ an event I keep iTunes Store open on my iPhone and in the background on my laptop if someone requests a song that I don't have... I will order the song from my iPhone, once I purchase the song the iTunes which is open on my laptop will pickup the purchase and DL the song to my external HD and the folder will up date and the song will show up within a minute or so in the folder on Traktor once the folder refreshes.

3) If you are paying for an Apple Family Membership and looking to access the iTunes Streaming library at this time we cannot access that music which is a total BUMMER it sometimes stinks having to buy music if you may only play it once... I WISH they would change that access.

4) If you buy your music from iTunes make it a habit to open your Traktor software the night before your gig and make sure you iTunes library is up to date and all of your recent purchases have downloaded.

i cannot drag and drop tracks from apple music to traktor pro 3. all the versions before it worked. i mixed since more than 10 years like that. is anybody out there find out a solution for this? this cannot be a big issue.. please apple work on that bug. or is it intentionally? thanks for help

I think there is some confusion. "Apple Music" is Apple's streaming service. Those tracks can't be used for what you want. "Music" is the Mac application that replaced some of the features of iTunes, though it certainly hasn't been around for 10 years. That change over happened in 2019 (20?). It sounds as if you may be talking about tracks you purchased from the iTunes Store over the years?

I'm not an expert here, however, if you have subscribed to Apple Music, it's my understanding that things can get a little... difficult. Find on of the tracks you can't use and see what the file format is and let people here know.

After the dust has settled following the initial hype and all commotion to install and get the new Traktor DJ App running, what have we noticed about the Traktor DJ App? Are you having some syncing issues with Traktor DJ iPad App?

You must obviously go through all the steps to set up the Syncing of Traktor with iTunes and Drop Box too (Which you have likely already done) I would also make sure you read the following two Native Instruments publications thoroughly:

After going through all of this process, I am still unable to create a playlist on the iPad for it to appear on Traktor or in iTunes. One thing that did however change was the both ways syncing. In other words, I had some songs on my iPad that I had imported into Traktor DJ, that have now been added to my Traktor Music Collection.

After these more in depth tests, I can conclude that Traktor DJ and Traktor Pro 2 do not sync Playlists, this is a huge oversight by Native Instruments and I feel this is something they should strive to add in future App Updates.

I feel that the syncing set up required here is not straightforward enough for the beginner and due to many different possible complications involving iTunes, dropbox, Flac and M4a files there is still a lot of work to do to make this marriage; a marriage made in heaven.

Hey i would like to make jingles loops intros outros and some own music to play. But that seams to be imposible to play in my s2mk3 i feel little fooled and sad. Spend a lot of money and now i cant use my new controler can someone explain how stupid the programers and company thinks? Best regards Michael from sweden

When I mix from track one to track two I have no problem but when the mix has already been done and I want to mix again from track two to track one and I load the song on track one it imedialy syncs with that song, I belive is because I am using the irig mix but how do I solve this problem?

traktor matches the beats but not on the sequence, when I go to drop track B (I have a marker right at the very first bass line perfect) right at climax of a break from track A, the timing is always off. I hold the marker right at the break and then hit the play button and it says the beats are in sync but the counts are all off. so if the bass line from a goes 1 2 3 4, the beats will be matched but track b will be paired up with track 1 starting at beat 3 or 4 and not 1!!! Im frustrated please help

This would apply to mp3 files, I think. Flac, wav, mp4 would use their own tag versions.
Set the corresponding option in File>Options>Tgas>Mpeg>Save 2.4.
Select the files and press Crtl-S to save

Yes - I'm only talking about .mp3 files here. The reason I want to convert to v2.4, is that there are more common tags between Traktor 3, and v2.4. So, tags that I update in Traktor, are updated in the .mp3 file, too.

You will understand that I cannot give any guarantee that you will achieve your goal in respect to iTunes and Traktor. I can only tell you the technical part of how to convert the tag versions.
If traktor already writes V2.4 tags and iTunes shows them, then there should not be any problem.
If traktor writes v2.3 tags and iTunes shows them, I would not change a thing.
