When I start my executable, I get a message "Procedure entry point __kmpc_aligned_alloc could not be located in the dynamic link library / MyExecutable.exe". This is a new occurrence; I have successfully built and run this app for years.

Copying run-time DLLs into the executable directory is the worst solution to this problem. The best solution is to install the redistributables (see Solved: PSA: Update the Runtime Library when you update the compiler! - Intel Communities , but note that this is not necessary with recent compiler installs as discussed later in the thread.) This will copy a compatible set of the run-time DLLs to a common place on the system and add that location to the PATH system environment variable.

After upgrading from Jabber 11.1.2 to 11.5.0, Jabber runs fine until I restart my computer. After a reboot a get the following message "The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\Cisco Jabber\services\MeetingService\MeetingService.dll". After clicking "OK" the box goes away and immediately comes back.

After restarting Jabber I am no longer getting the error messages. The meetings tab is still updating normally, but the deleted files did not come back as I expected them to. Maybe left over from an old Jabber version?

From what I can see ServicesFramework.dll is defiantly required in 11.5 perhaps the MSI is not updating it or something similar I can see it referenced quite a few times if I create a verbose log file when I launch the MSI

I was having the same problem on my laptop where Jabber has been updated multiple times as newer versions got released. Started getting this error around the 11.5 release. What I did to resolve it is:

I am experiencing the same problem while deploying to Windows machines. (serviceframwork.dll error)
Uninstalling the program does not actually remove any files from c:\Program files. The problem persists until you manually delete files.

I am also getting a similar problem while pushing Jabber 11.5 out to MAC end users.

Thanks. I uninstalled 11.5 and installed 11.5.1 and so far have had no problems. HOWEVER, another coworker ran the installer without uninstalling 11.5 first and ran into multiple issues. He ended up having to clean his computer of any reference to jabber on the hard drive and registry and reinstall 11.5. Don't know if you should be able to update without uninstalling or not, just an FYI. Don't try installing 11.5.1 over 11.5!

After DCS 2.5.6.59398 update I am unable to start DCS. After I click DCS.exe the first window pops up (update check I think), fills up the bar, disappeares and a window with "Procedure entry point could not be located" shows up. The bottom description of this window is a path to DCS.exe file.

Here you go. That was generated few minutes ago during the launch of the previous version. Then I updated to the latest one and the error popped up as usual. Finally I copied it here. I think nothing changes in it after the unsuccessful start up. I even tried removing it before the error but no newer file was generated instead.

I'm using ZoneAlarm and tried turning off both antivirus and firewall in control window but it didn't help. Only full uninstall fixed the problem. Afterwards I reinstalled ZA and DCS still works fine.

Hi All,

I have the same issue as described above (however I'm running the stable game not open beta), after updating to latest game version last night, after I click DCS.exe the first window pops up (update), fills up the bar, then disappears and a window with "Procedure entry point could not be located" the pops up.

I have checked the ( C:\Users\your-name\Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log ) folder, log attached. I have tried running DCS from the desktop shortcut and also double clicking the actual exe file, and get the same result.

I run AVG professional I have disabled that and tried to run the game with the same error displaying.

any help greatly appreciated.

regards Rob.

@Capt. Winters Hi, I don't know if you solved your problem but solely disabling antivir/firewall in ZoneAlarm didn't work for me. Adding DCS in the excepsions didn't work either. In the end I had to uninstall Zone Alarm alltogether and DCS started working.

Hi Flappie,

Found the file and made the edit. the game starts but I can not see any of my purchased content beyond the one map (Chanel map) which I purchased on the day this problem started all other purchased content does not show. I have logged in and out of DCS account but that did not help.

I have checked my store profile and all my modules are listed as owned and activated.

thank you for your help.

regards Rob.

Hi All,

I have the game up and running again with all store content now available. I had to completely uninstall DCS, then turn off AVG, then download game and install. then when the game started it found all my purchases and asked if I wanted to install, I clicked yes and it again downloaded the full 81GB of game files (not sure why it did that I thought it searched for already downloaded content). I ran the game and content was there. I then restarted AVG and ran the game again and it was still working. So 170GB of downloads over 2 days at 1.1mb per second... but at least its running.

thank you to those who offered advise. regards Rob.

In P3D, the entry is no longer in the dll.xml and is now located in the add-on.xml for the FSDream Team Addon Manager. All of FSDT scenery and GSX is installed using the new Lockheed Martin addon.xml method. One should install the Lorby_Si AddonOrganizer (Lorby_Si Forums hosted by AVSIM) and the entries will automatically show up. Believe the dll.xml and exe.xml will soon no longer exist and everything will be in the Documents/Prepar3Dv4 Add-ons.

If you have P3DV4 installed (you did not indicate which version of P3D you have installed), the DLL component should be loading the bglmanx64.dll and not the bglmanx.dll. When GSX is installed, it should be installed with Admin privileges. P3D.exe should be started with Admin Privileges whenever starting up P3D. The FSDT installers do an excellent job in making sure files are properly installed and Addon.xml's are installed with all of the Addon components. One needs to do nothing but sit back and watch in amazement the installation.

I could do more research on the Simconnect error but you posted the Google link to the error and there are hundreds of possible fixes. You just have to figure out which one applies to your computer installations and the installation of P3D. This is a better link though - ,13390.msg99605.html#msg99605

I just downloaded the software and tried to open it and keep getting this message "The procedure entry point K32EnumProcesses could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll" I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the same results. I am running windows vista 32 bit operating system.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting your question to the A360 Drive forum. Can you tell us what you downloaded and what version it is? Vista is a very old operating system and that may be the problem here. Let us know what you are trying to install and what version, then we can go from there.

Thanks

Yes I was trying to install 360, well aparently I need to upgrade my laptop! It is kinda old, Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it. Would any other autocad work with my current system? or should I just plan on upgrading?

If I run the application natively outside of TestComplete, it works fine. However, if I run it from TestComplete, it gives me an error message "The procedure entry point [lots of text] could not be located in the dynamic link library [etc.]"

I have recently received an error message that starts out with "The Procedure entry point XXX Could not be located in the dynamic Link Library" and then I get an Error 7 (Windows error 127). iTunes will not start. I have uninstalled all Apple programs and then re-installed them. Still no luck. I am running Windows 8.1. I have tried systen restore too but with no luck.

There are several different scenarios that could lead up to the error, but typically it arises because an older version of the .dll has been copied into the wrong folder to workaround a different problem, and now after updating iTunes the outdated .dll that gets called cannot handle the request made of it.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.

It doesn't say what kind of error this is. I've tried installing individually the Apple Application Support and Apple Mobile Device Support items individually, as was suggested elsewhere for a similar error, but with no luck. iTunes still won't open.

Such errors may be fixed by deleting the named file and then repairing the component it belongs to, in this case iTunes itself. If that doesn't work run through the steps in the second box of the user tip.

hello, I originally installed gimp 2.10. But after finding out that many of the youtube videos concern gimp 2.8 instead of 2.10 I down loaded 2.8. When I try to open it it will not let me and says The procedure entry point inflateValidate could not be located in the dynamic link library C:Program Files\GIMP 2\bin\libpng 16-16.dll. Can anyone help me please? Thanks
