changing navigation bars

Hi,

Can someone explain how one could have different navigation bars on different
pages? We do NOT want to use different "styles" or buttons on the different
navigation bars but rather a different set of links. That is, we would like
some pages to have a navigation bar with links to , say, page A, B, C and other
pages to have a navigation bar with links to pages B, E, F, G
