I developed a web site using MX on XP. With IE, the web site looks ok...
But with Firefox, it gets messed up. I posted this last week and someone
answered for me to turn formating to Css, which was easy enough to do.
They also told me to set my paragraph and header tags to pixels. Which is
turning into more of a head ache. I can't for the life of me figure out
where to do this at. I've searched the help and the two books I have as
well as flip threw every switch and button in MX I can find. I'm having
zero luck trying to figure out how to set my paragraph and header tags to
pixels.
Can someone point me in the right direction on how to do this? I'd very
much appreciate the tip. Thanks
You do it in Style View on the Text tab.
[I think MX has that....it's been such a long time....]
Things have changed a lot since MX (6.0) in 7.0, 7.5 and 8.0.

First, the web site is at http://www.superiorchimney.net. With Mozilla, the
text at the top near the divider bars move and start to over lap with the
divider bars even though it works fine in IE. As I mentioned, I was told to
turn my header and paragraph tags to pixels. What I think was throwing me
off was I just realized that pixels are represented as 'px'.
So with that in mind... I highlight the text, right click, go to 'format',
and under the 'character tab, select 'px' & select my font size? Now what
has me e-mailing you and asking if this is right, I've done this and my
text is still over lapping the divider bar... I've moved both the text and
the divider bar around a bit to see if it would change, but no luck... All
of this has me asking myself if I understood what you were saying. I know
I'm being a pain in the ass, but if you could spend a second and clarify
this for me, I would really appreciate it.
Much thanks,
Keith
P.S.
I just got my copy of netfusion 8 and have imported the web site into it (if
that helps)

Yes, you should use Fusion 8. Many of the people in these groups weren't
using Fusion back in the days of MX, so your chances of getting input from
people increases if you use the latest release.
You're using fixed layout and overlapping objects. This may seem like the
easiest way to design, but you're seeing what happens in non-IE browsers.
You should go to your site settings and switch to Dynamic Layout and turn on
CSS.
Then go to Style View and on the Text tab, set your fonts to use PX font
sizes.
You'll need to clear all of the current setting you've applied to many of
your fonts, so CSS will take over and apply the text styles you set in Style
View.
The graphics on your site look like they were scanned at low resolution. You
need to see if you can get better copies that are clearer and don't have all
of the artifacts.
There's nothing in your site that you can't do without using fixed layout.
This may all seem complicated now, but as you get used to using Fusion, it
will get easier and easier.

I say this because I use Firefox as my default browser and I am not getting
any overlap of text on your website.
I do use the wheel to scale the text in view and noticed that you use a
"spot" to identify the button selection on the nav bar to the left. The
"spot" is part of your main area and as the text is scaled the "spot" moves.
So it appears to tell me that I am using a button that I didn't use.
