I've been asked to quote for producing a web site for a radio station.

I expect that one of the things they will want to do is play the current
programme over the web - streaming audio?

Can anyone give me a clue as to where I start?

Are there likely to be any unusual costs such as special servers? How do I
get the output from the station on to the web site?

Has anyone else done anything similar in NOF?

Thanks for any advice.

Andy

Hi Andy,

Yes, you need a special server for streaming -- and a pretty fat pipe to the
Internet if the station wants to serve more than just a few users at a time.

$$$

I have never done anything like this, but a good place to start is by typing
"streaming audio server" into Google :-).

Thanks Karl

The good news is that I suspect that this client's answer to any problem is
going to be to throw some money at it - the kind of client I like!

Hi Andy

You might want to try Live365.com

I have integrated it with NOF fairly easy... straight HTML...

They have a variety of Packages...and best of all they host it on there
servers.
