This is usually a problem with a firewall setting or passive mode ftp not
being turned on in Fusion.

It could also help to clean out the contents of your preview and local
publish folders.

Thanks Chuck ....

It was a firewall issue.

I think I am having the same problem - how did you fix the firewall issue?
I have passive ftp turned on. Directly transferring the files using an ftp
program works but this kind of defeats the convenience of just pressing the
Publish button from within NOF.

Leah,

I run Win Xp with the latest service pack. It has a built in firewall in
the security alert center. On my pc, a shield is located in the lower right
hand corner of the desktop, next to the date display. I simply click it to
open and turn the firewall off to publish. After publish, I reactivate it.

Good luck.

I'm running Win XP but without the service pack (waiting for the ok from a
software company that its ok to install - our accounting and farm management
software is too important to stuff up). I had the firewall turned on
already so tried publishing a page with it turned off but it didnt help so
will have to keep looking for the answer. WS_FTP is working ok in the
meantime I suppose.

cheers
Leah

I have had the same problem on my machine. I can not publish with Net
Objects but I have no problems with WSFTP pro. I finally gave up on it and
use WSFTP pro. Maybe they should buy the license to WSFTP pro and use it
instead of what they are using.

I know it has something to do with my configuration because I worked with
support and setup a temp web site with my hosting company and they were able
to publish to my server but I can not. Even though I know it is on my end
it is frustrating that I have no problems using WSFTP pro out my XP home
machine running a firewall and through WINProxy and then through my dsl with
firewall turned on but Net Objects can not ftp out.
