I've read the documentation for NOF8 on the subject of adding Arabic
characters to a site, but when I put it into practice, it prints the word
backwards and places a question mark between each and every letter.

Now, for the body of the site this isn't such a problem as I can always use
a GIF file of the text. However, is there a way to add Arabic characters to
the Alt Tag?

I've managed to many times successfully cut and paste Arabic text
directly into NOF 8.
I do have Arabic installed as a language in Win Xp.
