When adding adSense to one site, the page it's placed on keeps refreshing.
I've tried it in a table and in a layout text box - and on several different
pages - same result. When I remove it from a page, the page loads in the
browser and stays there without refreshing. Yet when I place the very same
adSense code on another site, all is fine.

Here is a page where all is OK:
http://www.ffwamembers.com/Press_Releases/press_releases.html
When placed on this site, the page keeps refreshing --
http://www.writers-editors.com/Resources/resources.htm

I posted the problem on the adSense help board, and received the following
answer:

--
maybe a function name or variable name in your javascript and adsense
javascript match.

and also, your page uses lots of javascript, try making them as .js files
and then call them from the html code.
---

I have no idea how to do what that person suggests, or whether it would even
help.

I do have several CoolMaps and Bitmotion and NOF componenets on the problem
site that are not on the good site, so perhaps it is a conflict with one of
them. But how could I determine which one(s) (without removing them from one
or adding them to antoher one at a time)? I'm not sure it['s worth all that
trouble.

Can anyone see the problem?

Thanks ofr any insight,

Dana

Additioonal comments from the adSense community --

(1) The solution is to remove the jscrpts. This is necessary also because it
will make your site harder for the search engines to index. You have massive
amounts of jscript in the header, not to mention all the rollovers on the
page. Netfusion seems to make awful code.

(2) I took the source of your site and put it on my server at it was fine.
So the only other thing it could be is the external .js file. It's called
siteindex.js and I'm sure there is something in this file that's causing
your problem. I took a peek at the .js file and it's just jibberish to me,
but for sure I can tell you that siteindex.js is where the problem is =)
Good luck!

I will check out the siteindex later today - if that is the source, I have
no problem removing it, as I had been contemplatinbg doing so anyway.

One additional question - assuming it is the siteindex component - when
removing siteindex, does that mean I would need to remove it then republish
the entire site in order to remove all the code from it?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Dana
