I've been using QFM for a number of years and on four sites. Yesterday one
of my forms came through with the note that QFM service will be permanently
shut down on April 30, 2010. And added:

For an alternative, you can setup a free form using Google docs. For more
info, see:
http://docs.google.com/support/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=guide.cs&guide=27248

A couple years back, when QFM was experiencing problems, I was going to
replace all my forms with Form-mailer. I have misplaced the tutorial by
Michael Evangelista, and the link now redirects to another site. I still
have that version installed; just have not used it (as QFM service got
better, and it was easier to continue).

I also have the link to the new version of FM as well as to Nancy O'Shea's
tutorial for it.

I am still using NOF7. Most of my forms are simple, although I do have a
double-form (a form inside a form, with 2 submit buttons) as well as one
that allows attachments -- both of which worked well using QFM, and which I
understand FM will do as well.

My questions:

Considering this is a new problem in an already busy April, is FM the best
way to go - or is there some other better and quicker way? I know nothing of
the suggested Google docs form.

Assuming FM may be the quickest and allow me to continue to use my current
forms but just change the "submit" parameters, should I stick with the older
version of FM for now? Or will the new version work with NOF7?

Please keep in mind that even though I am a long-time NOF user, I am not a
Web designer by profession, and use it only for my own company's sites --
plus have not done any redesigning of them in several years, so am back to
being a novice to some extent.

I'd appreciate any input -- I know this is an old group and seldom visited,
so if no one responds within a few days, I will repost it in a newer group,
is that's OK

Dana
