Hi,

Just thought I would share some info relating to building a simple (easy to
impliment) shopping cart system that I recently used with Fusion. It uses a
set of java applets to both create the shopping cart mechanism and process
the resultant order (even does checksum credit card validation). You also
get the choice to use a cgi script to enable you to impliment secure
transaction ( since java wont allow you to write back to the server they've
included a cgi script for this process ) - or you can use a simpler non-cgi
mail process. The best thing is the price - either FREE if you dont mind a
small advertisment on your customer receipts or $99 if you want to have more
control.

No, I dont work for the company that made the applets ( nor do I stand to
benefit from promoting their wares ), I'm simply very impressed by the
simplicity and smooth intergration with Fusion. Take a look at the shop I
just made with Fusion at http://www.indig.com/shop

The applets are available from http://www.uburst.com

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi Chris
I agree with you - I'm building a couple of sites using this product also &
it's very good.
Now, if you'd like to write some components for NOF so I don't have to edit
the HTML, that would be great :o)
I'm sure that there will be lots of folks doing this for NOF4, with the
better integration it has.
Nice site!

I accessed the uburst site and can't find the free version (except for a
trial version). How do I get the free version?

Hi Lawrence

The free version is the trial version, which they say can be upgraded to the
full version easily on payment of $99 (I think)

I certainly like the look of the product, and will be building a small shop to
try it out.

Wanna see a *really rough* example?
I built this shop in 35 minutes from scratch with NOF 3 just to see if it
worked - and it does ;o) - www.koalas.net/test - so easy!
If anyone shows this to one of my clients, I'll killem! (You, not the
client) - we do better than this sometimes ;-\

Cheers
