For some reason when you swipe left on the magic mouse it launches the
browser... what i did is i changed the shortcut in the system
preferences > keyboard > keyboard shortcuts go to Application
Shortcuts and chose the NetNewsWire as an application as a Menu Title
enter "Next Unread" without the quotes and as the Keyboard Shortcuts
press the right arrow and you can at least browse to the next unread
item from your feeds.

ps. for some reason it only works when you swipe to the left and not
for the right one...

You should (everyone should) check out BetterTouchTool. http://is.gd/4XsyJ

It's in early beta, but it allows some pretty amazing mapping of multi-
touch gestures with both MB touchpads and the magic mouse to keyboard
shortcuts, among others.

In NNW I've got my trackpad set to have three finger swipes to map to
the directional arrows, and rotate left/right to switch tabs, and
three-finger tap to simulate middle-click.

Makes browsing NNW all-multitouch.

Which leads me to a feature request/suggestion for 4.0: It would be
great if NNW integrated multi-touch gesture support into the app...
BetterTouchTool is built off the remains of MultiClutch -- http://is.gd/4XszC
-- (which isn't really Snow Leopard compatible) and that's open
source...

I have a laptop on order with a trackpad with multi-touch support -- and I'll probably get a Magic Mouse too. Once I have those I'll be able to add support for swipes and similar.
