I frequently have feeds on my Mac that don't update. In fact I go
further and say it seems rare if a news feed DOES update on my Mac. I
do read feeds on both iPhone & Mac. If I read an article using NNW on
my iPhone, and then use NNW on the Mac later, the articles don't
appear. Is this intended behaviour? NNW on my Mac rarely displays
anything recent.

An update is coming soon which will fix this. (By soon I mean that it's in beta-testing right now.)

Hi. I have a problem, in that a number of my feeds are showing in NNW
in orange, which means that I'm not seeing anything from at least the
last 60 days. However, when I look at the blogs directly in my browser
and also when I check them in Google Reader, I see that there is
plenty of recent content. Will the update you are currently testing
(which you mentioned, Brent) fix this? Or do I have some other kind of
problem?

Cheers!

The NetNewsWire 3.2.12 update should fix things:

Brent

The update seems to have brought some feeds back to life. But there is
still one that doesn't update for me. In NNW I see the latest article
is from 2007. On reader.google.com for the same feed the latest
article is from Dec 2010.

Hi,

I just did the update to 3-2-13. Unfortunately, it's not helped me.
The names of six of the blogs I subscribe to still appear in orange,
even though I know they have been updated regularly during the past
six months.

Hi,

I have installed that, and now 3-2-13 as well. Still, the problem
persists. Any ideas?

Warm wishes,

Robin

I just upgraded to 3-2-14. Still the same problem persists. Please
could you help - I feel like I've been forgotten here!

What happens when you do a refresh? Do you end up seeing new unread
articles? If not -- if you login to Google Reader online, do you see
any unread articles there?

Problem still persists for me as well.

Hi Brent,

If I click refresh, nothing happens. The blogs whose titles are in
black update whenever their owners upload a new item, but the ones
whose titles are in orange never update. If I login to Google Reader
Online, I see everything. There is a clear discrepancy between what
Google Reader sees and what NNW sees.

Thanks,

Robin

Yup. Same problem here. NetNewsWire 3.2.14. New articles appear in
Google Reader, but not in NetNewsWire. Love to have a resolution on
this. For what it's worth, I'm using Google 2-step verification, but I
created an app-specific password for NetNewsWire. I don't receive any
errors, authentication-related or otherwise.

Please run this test build:

http://ranchero.com/downloads/NetNewsWireWithLogging.zip

When you run into a problem -- for instance, if syncing seems to hang
or to stop working, or not work at all -- please do the following:

1. Open the Errors List. (In the Window menu.)

2. Click the Save to File button.

3. Email me the file. (And tell me what's going wrong.)

This build adds a bunch of extra messages to the Errors List window.
They're not errors, they're log messages -- but they should tell me
what's going on when things go wrong.

Thanks!
