Why can't i get all three of these apps to sync? Are they suppose to?
I have tried going into google reader and getting rid of a bunch of
read articles and marked hundreds read, but when I check the Mac
client, the unread articles don't match up. The iphone app insists on
downloading over 400 articles from Lifehacker every time I hit the
refresh button. If both of the NNW apps are supposed to be using
google reader, why don't changes I make on either NNW app affect the
lists in Google reader?

This is really frustrating, because I love the interface and ease of
use of both apps, but if it is not going to work, I will be looking
for another solution.

There are some syncing bugs -- and we're working on them. Very high
priority. (Not just sync accuracy but also efficiency and performance.)

Bugs? I'd say it just doesn't work, and never has. Despite the claims
of syncing used to get people to buy an app. Make it do what you claim
is will do BEFORE you start selling it.

The syncing works for me, so I wouldn't make such a bold claim. Also,
being really combative rarely motivates people (the whole honey vs.
vinegar thing).

I'd be happy to help if you want to ask about specific things not
working.

I'm not sure if my issue is related to the author of this thread or if
this has been addressed in another thread, but since with the most
recent release of NNW Premium, v2.0.2, the "Latest News" number
doesn't match up with the total number of unread news items.

Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about:

Now, I do notice the "(24 Hours)", but 1) I don't remember the Latest
News number being less than the sum of all unread news items prior to
v2.0.2 and 2) that's not how it works in NNW for Mac.

Thanks for listening and great app. 2.0 was a bit of a bumpy start but
now it's great, even with this bug.

I don't use Latest News on Mac, but I have noticed the Latest News number being smaller than the total unread on the iPhone client before this update.

Yes, the Latest News (24 Hours) will *sometimes* match the total unread count, and sometimes not. It depends on if your unread items are all within the last 24 hours or not.

The total unread count is not displayed anywhere in the app at the moment. (I know some people are asking for this, so I'll add it.)
