I updated my iPhone from 3GS to 4 and since then my pro version of
NetNewWire doesn't download new stories.

I downloaded the free version too and that does't work either.

I get the following status messages:

Downloading subscriptions list
Storing subscriptions

I have tried one of your rival's apps and that downloads the feeds ok
so it isn't a problem with my Reader account.

But when I switch to WiFi the app then works!

Any suggestions as I miss my app.

Thanks,

Robin

Hey Robin,

Running your syncing via WiFi if you are able would be a good way to avoid a lag.

I get a little bit stuck on the Downloading/Storing when I run on 3G but if I let it sit, it eventually starts loading my ~750 subs/15K unread.

After you let it sit, were you ever able to get it past the "storing" phase?

Hi,

The problem still exists - sticks on storing.

All my news items are read so I don't think it needs to download data.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hey Robin, Give the following a try:

1. Sync your iPhone.

2. Find your crash logs on disk. They’ll be in one of these places, and the name “NetNewsWire” will be in the file name.

Mac:

[your home folder]/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/[device_name]

Windows XP:

\Documents and Settings\[your_username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\Logs\Crash Reporter\Mobile Device\[device_name]

Windows Vista and 7:

\Users\[your_username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\Mobile Device\[device_name]

3. Go to the App Store on your iPhone and check the Updates tab to make sure you have the latest version. If not, get the latest version.

4. If it continues to crash, delete it from your iPhone or iPad on the device. Still using the device — not on your computer — go to the App Store and get the app again. You won’t be charged again since you had previously purchased it.

5. Email us your crash logs at sup...@blackpixel.com

Let us know how it goes. Apologies for the trouble.

I followed your instructions but didn't get ant NNW crash files.

I reinstalled the app but still sticking.

I also installed another companies app which works fine so it isn't a
problem with my Google Account.
