Subscription updates don't match between iPhone and Mac

I have had an ongoing issue that when I read subscriptions from within
the iPhone app, they don't show as read on the Mac app. The problem
is hit and miss - sometimes it will update, but often it will only
update "some" articles. If I read articles on my Mac, they seem to
correctly update on the iPhone, but once I read an article on the
iPhone, and go to read articles on the Mac, I will see many of the
articles I have already read.

Is there some trick to making sure the read status gets updated on the
iPhone?

If you update to the latest version (NetNewsWire/Mac 3.2.13) -- does
read/unread status sync better?
