Help needed in installation on MacOS 14.1.1

Dear all,

I'm new to NetLogo application, and when attempting to download it I encountered this problem shown in the last 2 pics, and I cannot find the starting button or any similar activation-function platz to install it. And my system version is the newest MacOS. Could you help me figure out where the problem is? Many thanks.

You're done. It doesn't need to be installed.

just click the NetLogo 6.4.0 icon with the little red triangle

Great! However, I wonder every time I use NetLogo should I re-open the .dmg?

Hello Mingyue,

You can copy the NetLogo 6.4.0 folder from the DMG into your Applications folder on your Mac. You can find the Applications folder by opening a new Finder window and clicking on the Applications item in the sidebar. Once you have copied, you can eject the DMG and even delete it. This is how you can get NetLogo installed on your Mac.

Thereafter, you can find the NetLogo icon in Launchpad, find it via Spotlight or even open it from the Applications folder.
