I tried downloading 6.4 today and instead of downloading it displayed the download Perl CGI script.   Am I doing something wrong or has the server detected that staff are on holiday today and so it is acting up?

Server appears to be acting up.

You can use the direct download links from this webpage: https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/6.4.0/

The links there appear to be working.

Hi NetLogo Users,

Thanks, Wayne for notifying us of this problem.

We have migrated one of our servers because the operating system was out of date.

Although almost everything went well, there are a few issues we need to resolve.

So we checked that the  NetLogo download page, which is shtml https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/download.shtml appeared correct, but didn’t actually try downloading NetLogo. That page goes to a cgi script https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/download.cgi which is not working.  As Nimesh pointed out, the actual page for downloading https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/6.4.0/  does work.

There is a similar issue with uploading community models. The page https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/models/community/index.cgi  for NetLogo User Community Models displays a mix of perl script and links although the pages to upload by url and by file are working.

Note we are also working to resolve problems with the cgi script we use internally to process Community Models. This will result in a delay in making the models available.

Hi Klaus,

We are sorry you encountered this problem.

The NetLogo download page is now working.

The most recent model of yours that I see is http://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/models/community/Gullahorn

Is that the one you uploaded by file.

Although we fixed some errors with our website, the server error you encountered is something we are still working on.

Please be patient with delays in the appearance of community models. Because of the server issues the folks who update the community models are dealing with a backlog.

If you share the url of the model in question I will make sure we take care of it.

Thanks,

Aaron

Dear Aaron,

I just tried to upload a link to a model by URL. At first sight, this seemed to work but then I received the following error message:

  • The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at webm...@ccl.northwestern.edu to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

A couple of weeks I tried the same URL — without an error message, but the model was never visible among the community models (whereas a model uploaded by file the same day became visible after a couple of days).

I hope this might help solving the problem!

Best wishes

Klaus
