Hi.
I have a discrete event problem and I'm going to use the netlogo software.
The goal is to reduce patient waiting time and improve the service process.
Description of my problem :
this a model that shows flow of service process :
1- patients admission in the radiology department
2-If the patient needs to get the equipment needed for the examination, she must get it from the pharmacy
3- Delivery of the receipt to the secretary and waiting
4- enter the ultrasound room and wait for a free bed
5- start examination and end
6- need re-examination? go to 5
7- wire examination report by radiologist
8- type examination report by  secretary
9- patient Exit from radiology department
But i couldn't find a similar model in netlogo.
Can you help me please.
I attached a similar paper to help you know better my problem area.
Best regards.

Hello Masoomeh,

Try http://modelingcommons.org/. I found three Discrete event models there. Perhaps you may find these helpful.

Also have you tried contacting the authors of the paper?

You could also consider using dedicated discrete event simulation software like Arena. These software already include background processes like handling of events (arrival of person etc.) and have dedicated modules for adding resources types, resource capacities, service time distributions etc. If you are developing the model on Netlogo, you will have to program all these steps, in addition to the core business process, and have to ensure that these steps are carried out in the correct sequence.

Best,

Pradeesh
