I'm trying to build NetLogo from source (to maybe try to make it work with an external editor, because, well, VSCode...), but submodule --init is failing because Helio appears to not exist. Any idea where that particular repo went?

The Helio submodule still needs to be open-sourced, which is something that has been on our list for a while.  The good news is, however, that you don't need to clone Helio in order to do work on NetLogo.  The main NetLogo repository uses Helio only for generating the user manual, which is only needed for doing official releases.  So just skip that submodule.

When it comes to external editor support, I wanted to make sure that you're aware of the partial support for that by way of this preference.

Yup, I saw that, and I'd like to make it reload .nlogox files too, since that's what I'm trying to make work from VSCode.
