Hello Friends,

I am writing this mail in an individual capacity appealing to all my friends to come forward and save this lovely nation of ours and its secular credentials.

What place can intolerance have in a nation that is built on principles of mutual co-existence and respect for all?

It is really disturbing to see the nexus between power hungry politicians, commercialized media, and not-for-values business houses that are luring/ espousing youth of virtual imaginary dream of progress.

Gujarat is projected as a heaven, a lie that has been spread and repeated so many times in the country that ordinary citizens have started believing it. A lie as blatant and for such a long time has never been spread in the country ever before.

If a miraculous development has taken place in Gujarat then why have 60 thousand factories closed down during the last ten years? If the investment is pouring in then why in ten years state's debt has increased from Rs 10 thousand crore to Rs One lakh and 38 thousand crores. If development has taken place why there are 4 lakh and 55 thousand applications for electricity connections still pending? If Gujarat is as prosperous then why are more than 50% of children and women malnourished? If it is as wealthy then why expenditure on health in the state has reduced from 4.25% to only 0.77%?

On the women's health indicators Gujarat Is behind 19 states, malnourishment of children it is worse than 15 states, on the scale of infant death it lags behind 12 states, in constructing dry latrine it lags behind 9 states and a state where 40 out of every 100 are below poverty line, can it be called developed?

What kind of prosperity is this, what is this development which exists only in cyberspace and TV channels and has no relationship with the reality on the ground.

For more details see the FACT SHEET ON GUJARAT attached.

Please note that the very idea of India has being questioned consistently by the RSS and its ally’s not even sparing the father of this nation.

This is to appeal to all my fellow countrymen to have the right priorities in place and not be swayed by clandestine agendas which are wrapped in disguise of development.

Here is a call to stand for an equitable, just and peaceful India and do your bit to defeat the designs of communal forces.

The time is NOW!! Please do your homework in understanding which secular candidate in your constituency has the chance to win. Do not treat Congress as an outcast. I would go one extra step by saying, we can fight the corruption if a secular and democratic India prevails first.

Please cast your vote in favor of a strong secular candidate that has the potential to defeat the communal BJP.

Jai Hind!!

Hello Friends,

Encouraged at the response to my earlier mail appealing all my friends to vote for a secular India I am here again with a few updates and references of articles and sites I came across recently.

Some of you in North and East India would have already voted by now.

Well the BJP released its manifesto a day after the first round of voting with all its communal agendas/overtures is up for your read.

We have also heard what Mr. Amit Shah a close associate of our 'Development focus' PM in waiting had to say in Muzaffar Nagar

Here are some interesting sites and articles I came across:
