These pics are great. Pooja, were you able to see if they are 2 rooms that can be joined? They look roomy in the pics, but in person, it may be a different thing. The tables would work for each team well, with the MC walking up and down the aisle.

I think we may be able to make this work. I'll be there at 2pm today, and take some video which may give us a better idea of the space layout as well. We will probably need to have 2 sets of speakers to make sure that the people who are furthest away from the front can hear, or at least the MC walking around with a wireless mic as Vinit suggested yesterday.

I agree.. I think the rooms look good.. I don't see a big divide between the room unless that is not shown in these pics.. Sumina's video should give us a better idea.. I like the idea of the MC walking in the middle lengthwise from one end of the room to the other..

Hi sumina! So i spoke to another manager, ryan, abd he said that there would be a minimum, which nichole had never mentioned. I say, if you want to go look at the space, and like it- then we can start to negotiate.

Okay all, here is the link to the video... big problem though... there is a $3000 minimum. :( Thinking back, it would be highly unusual for a 'happening' downtown venue to not have a high minimum. Sigh. I talked to Ryan for a while to see if I could get him to budge on the minimum.... but no go.

It seems like Riata would offer us a lot more variation on food, along with being able to offer cheaper tickets (and maybe still some dancing). I would vote to go this route. We have some good spots to get food from too..
