Here are some notes from our meeting a few weeks about what was great, what could have used improvement, and what we should do away with. 

Hopefully this will help future planning sessions! 

Areas to improve: 

• Start sponsorship early
• make sure we have enough spoons/forks/utensils and especially serving utensils
• we waited too long to to decide on a venue, and perhaps it was a bit too late in the year
• start planning earlier in the year (Jan/Feb??)
• the interactive rounds (raising hands) were hard to track, perhaps using buzzers might be better
• perhaps we should have had an intermission
• afterparty may be important, try to find a venue where this might be easy to facilitate

Areas that were great

• Music was great - Sambhav did a good job
• two MC's were GREAT - esp the male/female dynamic
• the gift for the winning team (champagne glasses and champagne bottle) worked well
• photobooth was an AWESOME idea, and esp with the props and signs
• having 3 judges worked well. will need approx 3 judges/scorekeepers for every 2 teams
• difficulty level of the questions seemed perfect
