Want to help residents of Cupertino, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Redwood City, and Sunnyvale reduce their energy use by providing free home energy audits and installing basic energy saving devices? If so, then Acterra wants you! Acterra provides a three-part training program on how to perform a home energy audit and install basic energy saving devices. Once trained, volunteer teams make scheduled HouseCalls that are free to residents, helping them reduce their energy use and carbon footprint. Upcoming volunteer training sessions: Session A Wed., July 29, Aug. 5, AND Aug. 12 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm Location: Palo Alto Cost: Free, $30 deposit required and refunded after performing a minimum of 2 HouseCalls within two months or so following training. Session B Thurs., Aug. 20, Tues., Aug. 25, AND Thurs., Sept. 3 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm Location: Palo Alto Cost: Free, $30 deposit required and refunded after performing a minimum of 2 HouseCalls within two months or so following training.
