Hello,

How do you open ports for a service ?

I was able to resolve it:

config set webmin status enabled TCPPort 10000 access public
signal-event nethserver-firewall-base-save

The process is a bit convoluted, I was unable to find any relevant setting aside from Port Forwarding which didn't seem to do the trick.

you did well.
We updated the documentation just yesterday.
You can find a little more here:
http://docs.nethserver.org/projects/nethserver-devel/en/latest/services.html

You're right. We are working on a new module to manage network services
on the server. I've already a web interface stub. (See:
http://dev.nethserver.org/issues/2752).
We will expand above documentation as soon the implementation is complete.

Port forwarding should be used only when the system is a gateway for the
network.

Hello,

Looks like it's slated for v6.6. Alright :)

Horace

P.S. I'll keep watch on the issue ticket

We basically are in a rolling release cycle,
so the whole new firewall module will be out even on 6.5. :)
