Minecraft Infinity Snapshot Download ((EXCLUSIVE))

In 2020, the devs released a snapshot as part of their April Fools prank. It was a hit with the players and teased a massive update that never actually came to fruition, much to the dismay of many Minecraft players. Here's what it was.
The snapshot added new procedurally generated dimensions that randomized a few existing elements of the game and several ways to access them. Despite it not being a legitimate snapshot, custom dimensions and custom world generation were actually added in 20w21a and 20w28a snapshots.
A dimension entirely made of the minecraft:busy biome which generates redstone components, mostly hoppers, and mineral blocks in place of ores. As a result, this dimension is very laggy when generating the world.
A dimension with an X,Y,Z indicator, similar to the one that appears when the Debug Menu is open. This is most likely a reference to the (real world) mapping phrase "the origin", which refers to the point on the map where latitude and longitude start from/are zero (or in minecraft terms, where X and Z are zero).
Most companies should probably just avoid April Fool's jokes this year, but some companies are taking the chance to have some lighthearted fun. Mojang is no exception, with a new snapshot rolling out for players on Minecraft: Java Edition right now. This snapshot is different than usual, and doesn't feature anything from the Nether Update. Instead, nether portals pull double duty as a gateway to your favorite fiery dimension, as well as to essentially infinite random worlds in Minecraft.
The snapshot is available now, and is appropriately titled "20w14infinite." Be warned, though, that this will likely be pretty buggy, and may chug along pretty slowly on anything but the best hardware. There's no indication this is anything but an April Fool's Day joke, so the snapshot probably won't stick around for very long, and might not be very optimized. To find the warp code for the Nether was trickier. When you write a warp, minecraft adds :why_so_salty#LazyCrypto to it and converts it to sha256. The world number is determined by sha256, with Nether being 0, Overworld being 1, and The End being 2.
