Has anyone heard word on version updates based on the new changes with Tally being brought under Building Transparency? My office would like to transition soon to Revit 2022, and are building Tally definitions for our template materials into our project template, but right now Tally only supports up to 2021 and we trying to get an ETA for a Tally update that supports Revit 2022.

This exports your bill of materials and quantities from Tally and into EC3 as a project, so you can then assign EPD collections and actual EPDs of products specified/procured within EC3 for product stage emissions.

Hi @Vaclav,
When updating a Revit model from a previous version of Revit (say Revit 2020) to a newer version like Revit 2022, do you know if the material definitions inputted into the original file will remain? We have a few projects that were interested in transitioning to Revit 2022 mid-design and have started LCA analysis.

The challenge intensifies when I need to choose materials with fixed values. I am unable to modify the take-off method or round the amount, making it impossible to define materials due to this rounding and non-rounding issue.

issue with value input in Tally that requires your assistance. When selecting a default value that is not rounded, or manually entering an amount that is not even, the system does not turn the value to green unle

thanks for your response. I believe there should be sth wrong with my Revit or Tally version.
I am using Revit 2024, and my Tally version is 2023.09.13.01. As it seems you dont have the same issue that I have.
I have to try different versions.

After uninstall and reinstall my Revit and Tally. I have found that the issue was only with the language of my system settings, not more than this. Thats why it didnt allow me to input numbers in decimal form.

I am using multi-currency, previously the receipts and payment summary will show the correct ending bank balances but now the end bank balances out by USD67.2k functional currency differences. Can you tell me how to reinstall back to the previous version.

I have compared my previous monthly report and the latest report generated from the new version. The main differences are mainly because of introducing the foreign exchange gains/(losses) to the Receipts and Payments section.

The developer is trying to demonstrate the actual cash receipts that derived from the exchange differences during inter account transfer based on hedging/spot rate. However, the developer has forgotten the month end revaluation differences and did not match the cash ending balances with the revalued bank balances on the balance sheet.

The second version was created by the MAUHS team to focus on bringing Senior Seminar (advisory) groups together, build camaraderie between seniors through shared experience, and jump start reflective conversations about career exploration and the senior specific planning that groups will be focusing on this year.

Hopefully this post will inspire you to create your own team tally with questions to help your participants develop social connections with each other, create context for upcoming experiences, and begin to explore topics they will be covering in school or upcoming training sessions. I have tried to find this in the menus and manual, with no luck, but is there a way to turn on/off a video recording tally light on the front of the camera so that the person being recorded can see that the camera is recording?

Yes, you can customize the appearance of the plot for multiple tallies by selecting the "Customize Plot" option from the "Tally" menu. This will allow you to change the colors, line styles, and other properties for each tally on the plot.

To compare the data from multiple tallies on the same plot, you can use the "Overlay Tally" option from the "Tally" menu. This will overlay the data from one tally on top of another, making it easier to compare the results.

To export a plot with multiple tallies to a file, you can use the "Export Plot" option from the "File" menu. This will allow you to save the plot as an image or a data file, which can then be used for further analysis or presentation.

Imagine you are able to gain quick insights about the environmental impact of building materials. How might it guide your design decisions? With Tally, a Revit plugin developed by KieranTimberlake's affiliate KT Innovations, designers can interact with and summarize life cycle data based on the materials in a Revit model, making rapid assessments not only possible, but a new best practice.

Since its release in 2013, Tally accounted for impacts from manufacturing, maintenance and replacement, and end-of-life. Since then, it has been adopted by hundreds of firms as the best way to get early and iterative life cycle analysis (LCA) information, informing material selection decisions that have real implications on a building's environmental footprint.

The latest version provides compatibility with Revit 2017 while adding transportation and construction life cycle stages, making Tally fully compliant with the LEED v4 Whole Building LCA credit. The update extends the tool's breadth by allowing design teams to consider the environmental costs associated with delivering a material to the site while also taking into account the resources, particularly electricity, fuel, and water, consumed during construction.

With this new layer of information, design teams can consider nuanced environmental trade-offs. Will recycled ceiling panels shipped overseas via boat have lower environmental costs than newly-manufactured ceiling panels trucked to the site from a local manufacturer? Which has less of an impact over a building's lifetime: an efficient building envelope that requires an energy-intensive construction process, or a less efficient envelope that consumes little energy during construction? As Tally is used across multiple projects, users can see how environmental impacts and design strategies respond to project-specific factors like project location, material selection, and construction methods.

Tally's data visualizations and reports give designers the means to rapidly analyze environmental impacts and compare design options within the Revit design and documentation workflow . Are you ready to bring Life Cycle Analysis into your design workflow?

tallyCAT is a free and open-access Revit plug-in that supports the export of material quantities from Revit to EC3 and allows synchronization between them. It is powered by the EC3 database, and enables users to select materials based on project needs, assess embodied carbon reduction opportunities, and produce charts and reports from within Revit.

tallyCAT currently supports Revit 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. To install, download the MSI and double-click the file to install it. tallyCAT is also available from the Autodesk app store. Both versions have the same functionality and updates, except that the Community Edition can be installed without Admin permissions. We do not recommend installing both.

At a rare Friday afternoon meeting in September, the House Judiciary Committee is also scheduled to vote on a criminal-sentencing overhaul that stalled out in the 2016 legislative session, and then got caught up in end-of-session chaos this past June.

Testifying before a Senate committee last spring, John Marion, executive director of the citizens-advocacy group Common Cause, cited an instance in November 2016 when the polling place scanners in North Kingstown failed to record all of the ballots cast on a ballot question that day.

As he explained the scene to the lawmakers: the scanners were only programmed to record one ballot style when a second was actually sent to the polling station. "The initial unofficial results ... were so lopsided that election officials questioned the outcome, and discovered the discrepancy."

"When the ballots were run through a scanner that was programmed to read them correctly, additional votes were recorded," Marion said. "This example begs the question ... what if the outcome had not been lopsided?"

The legislation would require the Board of Elections to create a system where a randomly selected sample of ballots would be hand-examined and compared with the machine record. If the examination revealed a discrepancy with the machine tally, the sample wold be expanded until the board was satisfied it had determined the correct result for the election.

At House and Senate hearings, Gov. Gina Raimondo's legal counsel Claire Richards and lobbyists for the ACLU of R.I., the secretary of state, and the R.I. League of Women Voters also testified in favor of the bill. The R.I. Board of Elections endorsed it earlier this week.

According to Marion's testimony in the spring, 29 states at that time required some type of post-election audit of election equipment. Another four states required them under limited circumstances. Three New England states have had post-election audit laws for a decade or more, including Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont.

Cerevo has renewed the FlexTally Utility, a setting application for FlexTally, a wireless tally lights system for multi-camera set-ups, and released a Windows and MacOS compatible version (ver. 2.0.0).

* If the previous version is already installed, please uninstall it and then install the latest version.
* The latest Station firmware can only be installed from the latest version of FlexTally Utility.

FlexTally is a tally lamp system designed for easy operability and is available at a price range that means even small studios or streaming sites can look to add it to their multi-camera set-ups. FlexTally can be used via either wireless or wired connections for added convenience and its built-in battery allows for portability and use in remote shooting locations.

First of all, the entire web interface has been rewritten to support the use of the Bootstrap framework. This makes it a lot easier to use, and it looks much better too! Huge shoutout to Matthijs (mg-1999) for taking the time to do this. The bulk of the Bootstrap rewrite is his work.
